Do I need to speak English already?

What is FELTOM?

The Federation of English Language Teaching Organisations Malta — the body that accredits and regulates English schools in Malta. FELTOM-accredited means qualified teachers, controlled class sizes, and audited facilities. All schools we work with are FELTOM-accredited.

Homestay: live with a local family, meals included, more English immersion. EUR 150–250/week. Best for short stays and younger students.

Residence: shared accommodation with other students, kitchen access, more independence. EUR 120–300/week. Best for 8+ weeks.

Yes, it's mandatory for Schengen entry. Minimum EUR 30,000 medical coverage for the full duration of your stay.

How do I get to Malta?

No direct flights from the Americas. Common connections through Lisbon, Rome, Frankfurt, Madrid, or Istanbul. Flight time: 14–20 hours total. From Malta airport to St Julian's/Sliema: 20–30 minutes by taxi (EUR 20–25).

When's the best time to go?

September–November: best value (good weather, lower prices, fewer tourists). June–August: peak season (beach + nightlife, higher prices, more jobs). January–March: cheapest (mild weather, quiet, maximum study focus).
